Podcast with Kendall Chamberlain & Barbara Maxwell

I was most honored and pleased this past year when my niece, Kendall Chamberlain, approached me to do an interview. Kendall’s final college Journalism project required her to interview a published author – in this case me. What an honor to be asked, being a first time author.
I was thrilled to have this chance to share why and how I came to publish a book of devotionals: Inspired, Wisdom for a Woman’s Walk with Jesus. I was especially excited because of who was asking me. Kendall is now a Summa Cum Laude graduate of Kennesaw State University, with degrees in Journalism and Emerging Media, also winning “Most Outstanding Student” award of 2021.
What has touched me the most about my niece, beyond these impressive accomplishments, was Kendall’s heart, and her untiring devotion, over 4 years, with the Ga. State Legislature, to write and pass a law: September 1, Childhood Cancer Awareness Day. The passion for this cause resulted from the loss of a dear childhood friend to cancer. I hope you will enjoy the podcast that culminated from our conversations.
Kendall and I explored the reasons I have dedicated myself to writing devotionals over the past six years. We delved into the exciting process of bringing a germ of an idea to write a book, and then to have it all actually culminate in the success of being published.
In this podcast we touched on the challenges I faced and the ways I grew through this season to birth my devotional book. I share this with my readers as a way of motivating others to believe in themselves, and what can be accomplished with God’s help and wisdom, and lots of encouragement from others in our lives.
